Why I wrote this
I wrote this because I kept seeing good people feel unsure about the old things in their homes. A box from the garage or a shelf in the den can hold memories, useful items, and sometimes pieces that deserve a closer look.
My goal was not to make collecting feel complicated. I wanted one plain-spoken guide that helps you slow down, sort carefully, notice important details, and avoid tossing or selling something before you understand it.
This is for anyone who has inherited boxes, downsized a home, cleaned out a closet, or simply wondered what older items might be worth. It gives you a steady process so you are not guessing from one random opinion to the next.
People who use this approach often feel more in control. They may not find a treasure in every box, but they learn how to make better decisions, protect family keepsakes, and handle old belongings with more confidence.
